We led the technical expertise for the development and implementation of a financial mechanism for LED lighting, working with the national energy authority and local financial institutions.
The mechanism addresses the residential, commercial, industrial and street lighting sectors, through cooperation with established financial institutions and with institutional support behind it.
Part of the United for Efficiency programme. The work combined a technical assessment of the lighting market, design of the financing instrument itself, and institutional support on minimum energy performance standards and labelling — the three together, because a financing line for lighting is not much use if there is no standard defining what qualifies.
