Project Description

Design of a financing mechanism covering distribution transformers and LED lighting, delivered with the Development Bank of Southern Africa under a UNDP-supported programme.

The package included a USD 10 M GEF grant component. Our work spanned equipment specification, the structure of the concessional finance, and the regulatory conditions needed for uptake.
